Quality Assurance Manager

The Quality Manager for a Military Boat and Hull manufacturer is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of quality control within the manufacturing process. This includes establishing and maintaining quality standards for the production of the boats and hulls, conducting quality audits, and ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and implementing quality control processes to ensure that products meet customer requirements, company guidelines and regulatory standards
  • Liaise between vendor and supervisor for BOM adjustment during build in process
  • Conducting regular inspections and tests of materials and finished products to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Assist in development and maintenance of a Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards
  • Collaborating with clients, vendors, Sales, production, and procurement teams to identify and address quality issues
  • Implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent quality defects
  • Ensuring that all products meet customer specifications, safety and regulatory requirements
  • Monitoring and analyzing quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Collaborating with suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials and components
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality assurance, related field or industry certifications / hands-on experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in manufacturing or marine industries.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or quality issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to boats and rigid hull boats.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Certification in quality control or quality assurance is a plus.
